ah the joys of Saab 900 tuning... some mods just do different things to different cars. Must have something to do with them having been hand built. I tweaked my friend's 88 SPG before I sold it to him, with just a 3.0 bar FPR, self-tweaking the APC box, and the BOC mod. He confirmed over the weekend that he was generating 19 psi SOLID on his car. That's impressive to me, since the same set up on my brother's 85 SPG was good for 15 psi. That's a huge power difference.
Anyway, you said it: you found the happy medium for your car. Watch the oil blow by and keep things clean. Check your intercooler pipes and IC itself for oil build up. Saab turbos can't take these high pressures for very long. Also keep an eye on your PCV system/check valve.
