I bring my car to John's Alignment, he uses an old school Hunter rack and he does an awesome job. John told me that the rack he uses is a lot more accurate than the new ones, I believe him.
Everyone in our area in the know brings there cars to John. From street, autocross, and full blown race cars. He does a great job and I haven't had any problems with alignmeny since I starting going to him.
In a story that prefaces my experience with John I brought my car to a Saab shop who said they did alignments. This was a day before driving to Colorado for the '99 Convention. They said it would be done right, they didn't even do it there. The shop that they brought it to used a computerised rack, and they totally screwed it up. After driving 1200 miles to CO the front tires were scalloping the outer shoulders. By the time I made it back to MA my new tires were junk in the front.
When I went to John and told him this he explained the downfalls of the new computerised racks, and why he would never get rid of the one he has.
