Abbott comes through w. new rear swaybar for me

I had posted earlier that my Abbott rear swaybar broke in two. Abbott Racing got back to me and was very apologetic and professional. After talking with them for a bit, we found that I really did have a prototype which is not in line with the final design. I received this very early and can remember practically begging Ed Abbott for a rear swaybar.
They (Abbott America) are sending me a brand new production swaybar at no cost as well as paying the shipping to return the "original" prototype so that they can verify.
I'm amazed at what the difference is without the Abbott bar. I got used to it so quickly. Driving without it was immediately much less fun.
Before they got back to me, I ordered an SAS rear swaybar which I just installed last night. I'll be able to do a "comparo" when the other Abbott bar comes in. My first impressions are that the SAS bar is a bit clunky but looks tough. It's anodized so you don't have to paint it like some folks say. The ride and handling are very similar to that of the Abbott bar although it may be a bit stiffer and possibly too stiff for a Viggen whose rear spring stiffness is 25% greater than that of the SE. It seems just fine on the 9-3SE. Fit was a little strange with the SAS bar but I got it on in about 20 calm minutes.
I'll put the Abbott bar on as soon as I get it.
