so you're not recommending progressives. They sound so ideal, I guess they would only be ideal if they are sprung right. From all my documentations which are from a couple sources Group 6, SAS, and Intrax have identical lowering estimates and spring rates.
So this would equate to me keeping the G6's for springs.
I need to increase ride height w/o decreasing center of gravity though for sure, I've always had dilema's w/ this until I fitted the 225/40/18's. So from that experience I want to keep that diameter wheel. 215/50/16 and 205/55/16 would be in the range but I've had 205/55/15's before and I didn't like them at all, they were on a 6inch wide rim and it created such a horrible floating feeling. I could never tell when I was loosing traction. When I put the 195/55/15's back on it felt so much nicer. From that perspective the 17x7 w/ 215/45/17's or 205/50/17's sound more of what I want. They are the right size height and aren't too wide that they become twitchy on the highway. The 225's are overkill for highway and daily driving for this size of car. They are just too sensitive, you notice so many more bumps also. The 225's I think are more ideal for a c900 track car or a weekend ride.
Maybe I'll revert back to OEM swaybars also, instead of using the solid 7/8" & 1" G6 bars. Then get a set of koni's in the rear.
