I have been to some autocrosses w/my 900T - fun stuff... very easy to blame the car when doing badly tho. :-)
As Kevin said - memorize the course. Things happen fast - like playing a racing video game on crystal-meth fast: you need to be able to anticipate rather than react to the course.
C900 seats stink: Strap yourself in as tightly as you can: adjust seat so you're a bit too far from the pedals, then adjust the seat back so your hands are a bit too far from the wheel. Now crank the seat belt against your body as tightly as possible, give a sharp yank on the belt to lock the inertial reel, then adjust the seat back up, which tightens the belt against you. Now move the seat forward a bit, giving you even more tension. Last, raise the seat higher. You want to be able to concentrate on driving, not worrying about sliding around.
If you get into it, don't do the Dawes (it'll bump you out of stock class & you'll not be competitive & I doubt it'll help any) & skip the swaybar stuff: numerous people have reported good results from removing their front bar for autocross, including one guy I spoke with who won a divisional title (Oregon) in a 900T some years back (he also bent his rear axle to get more neg. camber). I have some tie-rods to replace soon & will be removing my swaybar then to see how I like it. Removing the bar keeps the inside wheel planted more firmly on the ground, resulting in better corner acceleration, and decreases understeer. Downside is more lean tho...
And speaking of acceleration - having a turbo is a disadvantage in autox cuz you're in 2nd gear most of the time & you have to wait & wait for boost. get on the gas as early as possible.
