I've always felt that a RRFPR with stock injectors was a very good combination. I prefer a 1.7:1 or a 2.0:1 or better yet one of the Bell Engineering designs (inline with stock with adjustable gain), SD sells them, but they can be found cheaper. With the higher ratio RRFPR's that I like to use, I've found that fuel pressure can be dropped significantly and the LH 2.2 can compensate in closed loop and I still have what I'm wanting when boosting, but I don't know about your system.
Before I go any further, let me state that I know very little about the LH 2.4.X system.
I think that you should check a few other things for your high idle problem. The addition of more fuel alone without additional air really shouldn't raise your idle that much. Things to check and/or consider:
Check the TPS, does the ECU know the engine is supposed to be at idle?
Is there a procedure for adjusting base idle for your LH system?
Does the idle drop if you pinch the hose for the AIC idle air bypass?
Is your throttle stop adjusted correctly?
Check the throttle body, has a previous owner swapped it for one with an idle bypass adjustment?
Brad seems to be the Guru on these systems, if none of his proven patches aren't helping, then there may be something else going on.
Remember timing also effects idle speed and A/F ratio. Advancing tends to increase idle speed, decrease A/F ratio and vacuum reading is usually higher.
