Damn. I can see an upcoming post from me titled "Why my Saab is better than my girlfriend."
I'm going to put the old bar back on now just to see. But the vibration I'm experiencing falls into 2 categories:
1. From the road: bumps and road texture.
2. From the engine: this one has me really surprised.
I'm concerned about the extra body roll on the Abbott bar. I really like the tight rear the SAS provides. To me, it's perfect.
Truth be told, I don't think the car has any more "grip" than before. It used to roll, but still stick just fine. The nicer thing about the lack of roll is that you (ie., the driver) don't roll either. To me this makes it easier to take turns with more confidence. It also translates into better real world grip (ie., vs. skidpad g's). I can throw the car around more with better input and feel.
But now I'm thinking that an Abbott bar + Koni (or Bilstein) shocks might be a better solution? I don't want to replace springs because I don't want to lower the body.
Thanks - you guys rock,
Nemo
