With the positive pressure of turbocharging I like to close the intake valve early to get a full stroke of compressing and do not like valve overlap. The unequal lobe set up just keeps from getting a full charge and help prevent detonation but does not make the power that is avalible.
The best intake cam I ever had was from an early prodution 900s 16v non turbo that had the least duration on any. This cam is no longer avalible.
It made good power before boost and was great at the top end as there was no contaminaiton from the exhaust overlap. The second best set up I have had so far is the SD red series.
