The easiest answer is to replace that car with a SAAB that's got the Turbo engine already installed, doing a swap is too much work if you aren't equipted with time, money, patients and what not. SAAB's aren't cheap cars and they aren't very popular in the tuning crowd of today so yes, things will cost more simply because there's not alot of companies making tuning parts for SAAB'S. Are the priceds really that much of a difference though, I don't think they are. Before my SAAB I drove a VW Jetta GLX VR6, the stuff for that car were like crazy expensive, probably caus eit was a V6 though. Cams for $800 and exhaust for $700, those were some of the cheapest upgrades, others cost even more. SAAB cams aren't that much and my JT 3" Exhaust was a good $200 less than the above. The difference though to me is this, if you're young and broke like some of use have been at one time or another, it pays to start with a car that you won't have a $3-4-5 hundred dollar payment on each month. Also not that in that situation the INS will be another few hundred perhaps. Something good, something used, something PAID FOR works best. Then you should have money left over to mod the hell outa that thing and kick some butt. I've spent a good amount of time around the crowd you speak of and these clowns don't even have money to eat at the McDonalds or similar place that they hang at. That's retarted. A few of them I know are paying more than $250 per month in INS to drive around in a Civic, on top of a monthly payment...THAT'S CRAZY....Most of them owe twice as much on these cars than what they're even worth, cause they've molested them so bad knowbody will buy them. My SAAB can beat most of them as these cars aren't fast at all, although most of them look that way. Stock they run what 17 sec down the 1/4 mile, then they put tons of money in these things to run what 15 sec down the 1/4 mile track.... A Turbo SAAB with less than $1,000 of mods can do more than that easily. So I just laugh inside cause my car is old yes that's ture, but it's faster/safer than most of these clowns and my INS is like $18 per month...Those guys are crazy I tell you, don't let them bother you one bit. Be comfortable with what you have and either stick with it or replace it with a SAAB that has a Turbo and kick there A$$.

See Ya,
Phil
