...first,thanx plenty for all the words...this will be a "fast road" motor & never see competition, but maybe do laps @ Road Atlanta...i guess the lightened crank would be too pricey for my application,my logic was internal weight savings & i did'nt even consider loss of grip from lower slung weight, good point John...but i do like the idea of Pauter rods concerning the weight difference w/ stock...head studs would be excellent if the cost is not astronomical, nonetheless worth serious consideration...as for the oil cooler,i agree w/ Kevin K & would'nt upgrade unless i detected problems/inefficiency w/ the stock unit...i've heard rumors of an uprated ecu being developed to eliminate revlimit,& someone also(raul i think) fiddling w/it to modify that particular circuit?-anyway,it's not my intention to be too rev-happy,but i do want a quick response!-BTW,what happens to the hp/torque curve at very hi rpm?...i'm not really sure about any benfit to be gained with elimination of dump valve?,i thought it helped w/ spool up?-i know the atmo-type dump valves slightly increase lag...elaborate?...one more thing i was contemplating was lightened valves(see a theme here?)-any opinions on feasibility of that application...it's not like i got a big bucket of bread i'm itching to burn, but wise investments do cost money & i'm not on a deadline or anything so i'll be meticulous & can wait on machining time...anyways,thanx for yer responses...
