I know that timing retard is not supposed to be temp related on this car, but it seems mine is. Not necessarily the max retard level, but how quickly it reaches it. Regardless of boost level, the timing retards much more linearly when the engine is cooler. When it warms up more, it hits full retard in the first few psi. I do not think these symptoms are APC/KS related, as it does not correspond to any dip in boost (there are none 'til the mid-teen psi). With the water inj and the 3bar fpr it holds around 14psi on a hot day, but there's no point in trying because it just feels like there's no torque at all in the midrange. Like a Honda with turbo lag and a low redline. I've even tried the 30lb injectors (yes, experimented w/various R 200-600 ohms in orange amm wire, w/2.5 bar fpr) to no avail. I feel it begin to surge forward as if it were cold out (the big torquey yank, the occasional chirping tire), but instead it just feels like turbo lag all thru the rev range. This is why I think maybe the actuator diaphragm is worn out. Does it make sense that it would "loosen up" as it gets warmer? I have driven a stock '89 SPG w 250K belonging to a friend (my reason for selling the integra and buying my '91) and it is just as fast as mine- regardless of the increased boost and H20 inj I've added. Any further insights would be greatly appreciated. I know you have a lot of experience with this sort of thing! Thanks in advance!!
