Dave,
I don't think anyone here could argue with your intentions, that being higher than existing performance. It's the glue that binds this board together. I have some questions as to what your $2k will really get you. I have read the specs on the meatball, but still haven't seen the dyno charts yet. With all of Mikes experience, he told me that air/fuel isn't charted on a Dyno readout! Right. I think that Mike is truly an awesome guy, but I still haven't seen enough evidence to support the truly awesome numbers he has claimed. If anyone else has the complete engine specs, I would appreciate it.
Why not make a light pressure turbo?? It has become common place with c-900's, why hasn't anyone jumped into the NG900 game? The cars are plentiful and cheap, and the stroke is obviously better for a light pressure/high CR street race combo. You could adjust timing simply enough with the distributor. Any thoughts from the boards experts on Motronic? Could this be done? If so, you would be well under the $2k price tag(assuming that you buy a used turbo manifold and turbo combo[$400-600])Then you could add the turbo exhaust or aftermarket, and buy Brad's aquamist system for $600, and have a real animal! With H20, you wouldn't need a response robbing intercooler. Then you could use the extra money for a brake upgrade or something else. If this is computer possible(Motronic) then this is what I would do.
