MBC question, but first.. Posted by mike TX [Email] ![]() ![]() |
I would like to thank everyone for their assistance in choosing various parts before I take the 96 900SETC to the track. I went with ATE Powerdisc rotors and greenstuff pads (mainly due to financial reasons).
My upgrades to date are:
sport exhaust
TBTC ported
MBC
K&N filter
airbox mod (this weekend)
And now for my question. I installed the MBC this past weekend. I adjusted it until fuel cutoff in second gear and then backed it off. Later that day, still hot out, I reached fuel cutoff in 4th and 5th gear. I retested in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, no problem, but the last two gears I would reach fuel cutoff. I also noticed that the turbo gage stays in the red longer while in 4th and 5th, then in the lower gears. In the lower gears, it boosts halfway into the red, and then backoffs until the needle is barely into the red. Does this sound right? I expected fuel cut off to be similar in all gears. Engine RPM should matter more. Thanks for the help.
Mike
