Frustration! Nasty hold in high RPM with boost

Thought it was spark plugs, maybe wires, maybe cap and rotor. So, I replaced the plugs (NGK 7s, of course) and cap (no rotor, since I somehow have an 85 900 turbo distributor on my car; rotor in there was still decent, cleaned up the contacts, will replace it in a few days when the part comes in) I tested the resistance of the spark plug wires before replacing them. All of the wires were in spec (2k - 4k ohms), so I kept them in there.
This resulted in no change in the situation. When I get into the throttle, at about 4k RPM and under about 15 psi of boost (limited by WG actuator that came with the new turbo) I get a stutter. It feels like a miss, as the car lurches and sputters through the top of the RPM range.
Fuel mixture appears fine on gauge. Engine temp is fine. Fuel pressure is normal. Oil pressure is excellent.
Any suggestions? ECU? RRFPR? I dunno at this point.
