The resistor can be used with out the MBC and provide better safety for you and your engine. You must however get the fuel mixture correct and provide for detonation control. As the map sensor controls much more than overboost. These points have so far not been brought up. For a minor addtion of resistance raising the fuel pressure is ok but if you intend to try and get power in the range of an ECU change I would suggest matching injector size to resistor size. And always remember that on every thing I do detonation is controled with water injection, delivered in 3D. Be careful.
