For the record, for my minor resistor mod, 50 ohms is working well, 100 ohms felt good for one day then weak the next. Back to 50 ohms. I have not and don't intend to increase my fuel pressure. I am getting 15-16 PSI of boost, but a graduated boost guage is not a calibrated unit. So who knows what the pressure is. My boost is MBC controlled. See my post above for objectives.
From what Brad has described about how some vehilce will take a minor resistance and some don't like the same change, I am thinking that there might be a fair range in the fuel pressures found on these less than new T5 systems. So the one with lower fuel pressures are fine and ECU adaption is happy with them, but there could be less headroom for adaption to MAP resistor hacks for some.
Today was about 60F, dry. I found that I was able to get my tires to cry in sencond gear at pressures just above where fuel cuts would have occured with these temperatures before. So I know that I am getting more power. Otherwise I would be doing a seasonal BMC downgrade. This second gear tire cry was not a clutch induced thing, just overpowering the contact patch. With the wheels straight a head, not in corner or curve. Thats a first. The tires are about shot, the sooner the better... S-03's! :) I have 2.5 years on Michelin Pilot Sports. Close to the wear bars now.
