this IS confusing.. Posted by andrew [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: resistor across the pressure transducer.. revisited., Kevin K ![]() |
Operative point is "US Spec" :-) 13.8 is Correct according to the "Blue Book" I read.
As for strangeness of my results the only part of entire APC system that has not been replaced with a "known good one" is the APC unit. But given that it produced 12 peak and 10 continous (more or less:-) .. sans Mods of any kind. Was gonna borrow and try one tomorrow, but I'm not sure that there's a problem to be solved anymore.
Gave up on the "resistor" tweak cuz it didn't work on this car, and did the basic APC pot tweak a couple of hours ago.. 1/4 turn on F and P.. had to start somewhere:-) Boosts about a quarter into the red, noticeably more than previous levels, but as it's wet and tirespin is a real problem, have not yet actually "measured" the current level.. feels like it's enough for the Teenage Son tho.
Ran into another oddity (maybe?)with my APC unit (#7524150).. resistor #142 has a value of 4.81k and #138 has a value of 6.72k... these seem 'different' than ones I've seen refered to on various Pages
Are there some differences with a 9000 APC that I'm unaware of yet? these and the Boost max differences are adding up .. are they suggesting that there may actually be different settings for different markets
