Thought on low dyno numbers(long)

On NG900 and 9-3 The speed signal for the speedometer and ECU is from the rear wheel(if my thinking is correct) So how does the ECU know to make full power when on a Dyno if the rear wheels are setting still. I have install Abbott, Nordic and Maptune ECU's and they all have trimed power in the first 2 gears. The Nordic seem to make the same boost in all gears but not the same power, the others are similar but not as noticable.
Lacking the knowlege of just how the T5 uses the speed information, it would be safe to say that all dyno testing with only the front wheels turning would only produce 1st gear power. I am open to be corrected.
If you use a MBC you somewhat overcome that but not the timing and fuel issue if the T5 is pulling those back.
I have used a resistor( with water injection) on the map sensor. This fooled the ecu's thinking and increased the boost and timing to provide good dyno results. I did not think of about the speed sensing at the time, but it somewhat defeats the power trimback. The resistor trick can be dangerous and I only us it on cars I have control of.
A propely tested upgraded T5 might produce 25% more than the way I have been testing.
Any thoughts
Brad
