I looked into this a bit for my '94 Aero. I am not an expert in this area and am sure that a few others can probably provide more insight, but I believe that your fuel and ignition maps will need to change in coordination with the new MAP sensor. If you do not change these, you will lean out the air/fuel ratio. Basically, a 3 bar MAP sensor provides information for "normal atmospheric" (1 bar) + 2 bar = 3 bar.
If you look at the attached graphs, you can see that the slopes of the sensors are significantly different, with that of the 3 bar being the flattest. If you take an example of 10 psi on the 3 bar chart, it yields a little less than 3 volts. However, if you now take that 3 volts and cross reference it to the 2 bar chart, this would only equate to a little less than 2 psi. The injectors might only then be injecting fuel for this boost level and the ignition curve set for the same.
I am not sure if the ECU was programmed for this or if you have already made some compensating factors, but I wanted to make sure you were aware.
The connector should be a standard GM A/C pressure switch plug.
