Poly bushes - another story

Of interest; I recently looked into the purchase of Polyurethane bushes for my Aero. Having read many posts on this BB I opted to buy from SupaFlex. I bought 2 front (rear) wishbone bushes, 2 rear anti-roll (sway) bar and an engine top bush kit. Upon my initial scouting around for prices comparisons I found that Abbott Racing were the only other source for bushes that I could find but as mentioned before on this BB they are expensive. Whilst ordering the parts from SupaFlex they said they had temporally run out of engine top mounts as Abbott had bought many sets! Upon receipt of the goods, on time as they had quoted, the engine top mount set looked remarkably like the image on Abbott’s web site! I’m not implying anything here, it’s just an interesting point of view if they are of the same origin!!!! Has anyone bought engine top mounts from Abbott?
All the bushes I purchased fitted well, if a little challenging. To expand on a previous post by another Saaber who had difficulty removing the old bushes, the rubber ones that are bonded into the carriers, like the front (rear) wishbone bushes. A friend of mine used a method of burning the old rubber out. If fact light a small fire and put the carrier on top, within about 10 minutes or so the rubber will rise out, some what like a cake. At this point take it off the fire and let it cool, then you can easily clean up the old rubber. Change to the car is remarkable, a lot firmer and tauter….
