Problem solved! Waaaahooooooooo!

I had this afternoon off, so I headed to the shop to tackle this WOT/under load "missing" condition that has driven me insane for the last two months. For those not familiar: my car was intermittently experiencing what felt like a miss under boost above 4K RPMs.
I was all set to replace the throttle position sensor, and Eric (85SLED) suggested something no one had thought of, but something he and I have both experienced in the past: I replaced the ignition module (sits inside the fender well, near the APC box).
And whoooooaaaaamigod what a difference. It feels like a totally different car. This must have been causing a problem for a while, though that doesn't entirely make sense. In any event, it's gone! It pulls and pulls through all gears, and I can cut the tires loose in the third gear. The tires are not that old, either. The boost is solid and strong.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. The ghost has been chased away! :o)
