I saw some talk about people working on ways to put in a bypass switch for the coolant lines going to the TB. I am assuming people would do this so the TB does not get frozen shut/open.
I thought this might be a good time to share some info I have self tested on this. I have my lines both dissconnected with no switch of any kind. I go to Lynchburg College in VA and the temp has been quite low late at night. I went for drives when the temps were as low as 12 degrees. Note that night the car had not been started all day, so the engine was not warm in the least. I am home now om northern VA and my dad said the temps dropped to 8 degrees the other night!!!
I have had no problems with the TB sticking at all. For those of you who might be working on somekind of switch you might want to think again.
Hope this helps!
