The car was very cold and I have a tendency to apply full throttle at low rpms to get 1-2 psi of boost.
I was at full throttle when it stuck open, so when I dumped the clutch the revs went to the redline. I had to turn off the car and pull over. After that it came loose and was fine. I don't drive the the good car in the cold that often and when I do I'm always aware of the gas pedal until the car warms up.
I would not do this particular mod to a winter driver. It's just not worth the risk of having your throttle stuck open while the roads are icy and you need to stop fast!
Putting a bypass valve on seems like a smarter idea, then you can disable it during the summer months.
