Fine-tuning in-line MBC...

I just slapped a Dawes MBC in my 1999 SE HOT (T-5), and am wondering what to look for when I'm adjusting it.
I have the device installed "in-line" with the BPC, to increase spool-up response (don't have the exhaust or intake to support it full on)
To clarify, I installed it with the elbow (with vent hole) attached to the wastegate actuator nipple, and the ball end attached to the nipple designated for the wastegate on the BPC. Now it is on a loose setting, as it was shipped.
My question is: as I crank down the device to adjust it, what symptoms am I looking for when I drive? How do I know when I've tightened it enough/too much?
My obervations so far, even with its loose setting, are favorable: the car hits the yellow/red border in all gears, and stays there longer than before. It does feel faster. I just wanted to know how to tweak it, and what people have found with this set-up.
Thanks in advance. As an aside, I did not just write this email to include the words "slapped", "nipple", "ball", "crank", "loose" and "end" in one message. I actually just want to know how to tune my car!
Best,
Lutfisk
