A black one, flawless body & paint, lightweight, beautiful, intricate 18in wheels, a 4in drop, full rollcage, custom seats & dash (race setup: only purposeful stuff), really fricken dark windows, N.O.S. head and tail lights, completely adjustble shocks & sways, and yes, about 600hp.
That said, one could probably spend less than $15K total and acheive this, and thankfully, rustang & various Tremec trannies will bolt up!
I think it does have a similar appeal to a well done c900, but living with a crappy xr would be far worse than living with a crappy saab until all the mods are complete. A bad xr is one of the ugliest cars around!
