Well now. I love the way it grips on smooth roads and you can chuck it through roundabouts in a totally extravagant way (unless the roads are wet). I also love the look from the extra lowering (described as a "sled" by a pimply youth the other day). But the ride is quite hard for my aged bones, even on some main roads like the M25 round the top of London, which seems to be constructed from concrete egg-boxes. And rough country roads can unsettle the car quite considerably, restricting speed.

I'm working at Great Canfield (a huge new Quinlan Terry house) in Essex over the next few weeks and will take the Beast over to Giles for him to drive it and comment. But don't get me wrong – at least 80% of the time I really like my Abbottised suspension.

Bill Jones does take his Aero to track days where he munches up Ferraris for a pastime, so his requirements are a bit different.
