I used this "quick connect" thing that was included with the gauge. It crimps into the wire and makes solid contact with the inner part of the wire.
My O2 sensor is fairly new also. The gauge sweeps just like you described, so I guess it's ok. It stays solid at WOT and when letting off gas. This is my first experience with one, just wanted to check to make sure it was working correctly. Thanks!
