I am using the VDO 'Vision' series Boost gauge with the green bulb cover. VDO sends both a red and a greeen bulb cover with the unit. I wired my boost gage to the instrument dimmer by tapping off the headlight switch bulb wires. I also changed from the W5W (5 watt) bulb that the unit came with to a #194 (3.5 watt) so the boost gage brightness matched the dash light brightness. The VDO matched the color and lighting scheme of the stock dash almost exactly.
I am using an MR2 gauge pod. The fit is OK. I just ordered an Ford Excursion gauge pod to try to get a better fit.
