what kind of race, tires, track/course, etc. Every year some friends and I do a "non-sanctioned hill-climb" up to the Skyline Drive from the village of Sperryville, Va.. Participants include me in a '97 Talladega Edition 900 with Abbott upgrades (similar performance now to stock Viggen), an Audi S4 with Active Autowerkes chip (320 hp), stock S4 and an M3 with cold air box and chip (don't know who's off the top of my head). This past Sept. the M3 had Toyo tires which the owner felt were slippery. I kept up even though his car certainly outclasses the Saab performance and handling wise normally. In the case of the modified S4 I surpassed it, but the driver was new to a stick. In the hands of a good driver, I have no doubt the S3 with 320hp would certainly be king of that hill or any other.
So its all up to the driver, the tires and the course you're running on. In any case you should have a blast!
Have fun and be safe!
