The most powerful front drives were produced by Opel in south africa, They took a 2,0 16V motor, bolted a triple K turbo to it. Motoring magazines here detested the car and insinuated that thy had been smoking funny cookies. Most of the stock cars post mid 14 second quater miles and a slightly worked one 225 hp on the wheels post 13 second quaters and reach their true limited speed of 266 km/h, my 900se used to pass an M3 at topend quite easily and they would pass me quite easily after 255 km/h.
view this website for recent shootouts in south africa under the opel owners club. My 900se turbo featured in the top 30 cars with no mods to the CPU bettering BMW 330i. 328I's some subarus etc. I only changed my exhaust and airfilter.
