Bob,
I did the 9000 IC a few years back.......left the AC intact....used combinations of old IC pipes
The pipe off the turbo loops over the distributor then through the opening beside the battery (the motor for the headlight wiper had to be removed)...I didn't have the time to explore rotating the turbo outlet down and out the bottom of the frame but intend to at the next rebuild....I have a T3/T4 and the outlet was too big to fit through the wastegate area.
I dropped the IC quite low so you can see the intake/outlet pipes from the front of the care....doesn't look the best but I wanted the extra juice over aesthetics.
The inlet pipe snakes through the opening where the stock air filter tub used to be, and then up to the throttle body.
I have a K&N filter and I have it dropped down near where the cool air comes in where the stock filter tub was.
All in all the installation works great. Whacks of power all over the place compared to the stock IC.
I've tracked the car and both I and others were rather amazed at how it performed. No overheating at all, no knock and incredible handling. I was pacing Honda S2000's...not that that's much to talk about but I was surprised.
I'll get around to some pics soon and post them.
Dan
