I've had no problems with mine. The only problem I've heard has been from Bob Davis. I used a new stock clutch, a new master, slave and t.o. bearing, but because I didn't have very many miles on the stock flywheel, did not have it resurfaced. I inspected it carefully and didn't see any signs of discoloring/purple. I've got about 5k miles on the Race Engineering PP and although it does release a bit lower, and takes marginally more effort to actuate, I have no complaints. My Aero is somewhat modified: green giant injectors, 3" exhaust from turbo to tailpipe, 50 mm thick intercooler, and software from MapTun. I estimate my torque to be well above 300 ft-lbs and the pressure plate doesn't slip, whatsoever. I was expecting to hear from some friends in the Swedish Saab Club - I told one of them about Bob Davis's ordeal, but haven't heard back from him, yet. I think there are many over there that also use this set-up.
