Not to be a smart as! but you basically unbolt everything that goes to the turbo. You don't have to remove the exhaust manifold. There are both water and oil lines(2 of each) and you can't mix them up, three are hard lines and one is a hose.I think one of the hardline banjo bolts can't be reached with the turbo in place, so you have to undo the other end of the line (from the block) and then remove the line from the turbo once the turbo is out. There is a brace that goes to the engine block and the little hose from the apc. The air inlet and downpipe, it might be easier to loosen the joint from the downpipe to the exhaust the move the downipe out of the way. You might not be able to get the turbo out the top, but it's easier to work on from the bottom anyway.
Regarding Eric's response, it's not that hard to get pretty impressive hp gains if the turbo upgrade will allow power to be made in the higher rpm ranges as typically the stock turbos run out of huff pretty early. Though most folks don't tend to use a lot of rpm very often,
