i was quite into the japanese car scene for a while, and the 2g 240sx is not the best car for the money- the 1g is. if you can manage the swap yourself, an SR20DET in a 240sx is the cheapest way to have a turbo, rwd, irs, lsd, (relatively) bulletproof, reliable, (relatively) easily insurable car. like any other turbo car, the stock turbo is no good for big power, nor is the IC, but the japanese aftermarket has plenty of good solutions. for less than 10 grand you have a ferrari eater that doesn't pop trannies like an awd dsm, plus it is balanced and suspended quite well from the factory and likes to drift. the 2G 240sx would be my choice as well as i can deal with a little extra heft for the newer styling and more day to day comfort, but adequately modified (jdm sr20det, all the parts and tuning for 350-400hp) and it will ring in at at least 15 grand. that's nice used 300zx and not-as-nice used mkiv supra territory. my $.02

aside- i write this from uppsala, sweden, visiting a friend who is studying abroad here. every other car is a volvo or a saab, and most saabs are very new and nice. i have seen roughly 15 9-3ss aeros just walking around here and stockholm. too strapped for a jms airflow kit, and shipping (for whatever reason) is a major ordeal :o(...

mohammad, if you read this, i would like to dyno my car shortly after i return (friday) perhaps at PAC motorsports. i'll give you a call when i get all my stuff together. the spearco fmic is installed, man what a difference. 17-18 psi til redline in the upper gears(stock fuel system), i fear the turbo will not live a whole lot longer.
