Thanks fellows for the information. Being the 9000 is bolted in side ways and the transaxel is bolted to the engine. I was wondering if the bolt holes are in the block in the same place as the 900 series cars older. Also is the location of the pan bolt hole on the block the same in both car application. My question now is will a Truimph TR7 bell housing bolt up or just needs some modification. Maybe I could use a 9000 pan and flywheel. Also the final question is did not the early 99 have a truimph engine intalled and when the bolted up to the saab transmission and then my idea is that a later engine from a 900 bolt up to the early transmission then the pan hole in the block should be in the same place.
Sorry for so many questions but this could help all of us in putting a saab engine in other cars such as a triumph.
Thanks for all your help,
john erik
