But first, I think that if you have put all this money and time into your car, if you have to pay a little, (and they might only charge you 1/2 hour) to someone with the proper equipment to help you get it all to integrate together and work well is a small price to pay. All of us need to cultivate a relationship with a good indy. Realize that most small shop mechanics are, in fact total car nuts, and fix soccer mom minivans all day long in order to work on their own hot rod. Compare it to getting a six pack, a movie, a tank off gas and a pizza, not so bad, huh. Anybody can buy the parts (just ask my wife!), but even a 91-92 DI/APC setup is extremely complicated in the way it takes data and drives with it. There isn't an aftermarket system that even comes close.
That said, there has been some discussion previously on tapping into and reading voltage from both the knock sensor and the lead to the APC valve.
