Viggen driver's side mirror question Posted by Frank [Email] ![]() ![]() |
When driving, I keep the base of my seat almost all the way back. The back of the seat is pretty upright, not tilted way back. The problem is that I have the driver's side mirror aimed out as far as it will go and I still have a blind spot at my left rear quarter. I frequently have to check over my shoulder when changing lanes. There's no way I should have to do that except sometimes when there's more than one lane to my left. It's an annoyance I've been living with for 14,000 miles and I could continue to do so, but I'm concerned I may have to make an evasive maneuver one day and will have to HOPE there's no one there.
Does anyone else have this problem? I'm wondering if this is a problem with Viggens in general, or if my particular Viggen has a mirror problem that can maybe be fixed. I've asked about it at a couple of dealerships and have only been told to try to get a UK passenger side mirror and install it on my driver's side. The other option would be to get one of those little convex bubble stick-on mirrors like retirees use on RVs. THAT'S a look I'd like to go for. Any other ideas? Thanks.
