Some of the difference in OEM APC's (and reason for part No. changes) include the addition of brake and cruise control APC cut-off in 1987 and an upward tweaking of APCs for the SPG line (where only 93 octane is used. There may be more.

SD and SPG9 should give you the right box for the car. FYI: adding a modified box will give you a little earlier, and more sustained boost. Don't think the HP increases very much. (You may need to increase the pressure setting of the FP transducer.) The HP increases more when you also increase the fuel supply and relieve intake and exhaust flow. Otherwise you'll have starvation at the top of the boost and the KS will back it off.
