T5Boost4 will work well with your FPT auto. We have measured 14 PSI boost and transients to 15 on a 96 FPT 9000 auto. The stesses depend pretty much on how you drive it. If you have a 9000 made in 12-96 through 2-97, the #10 head bolt should be checked for torque, We found #10 loose in a 9000 built 1-97. There hasn't been any noticable ill affects from properly torqueing it 5 years and 50K miles late, = one tough engine. The torque will be increased in 1st and 2nd proportional to the overall boost. The additional boost is most noticeable in the 3000+ RPM range. Basically it is as safe or safer than any mod generating equivalent boost. It will work with 91 octane, just will not get as much boost with Trionic retarding spark and boost due to knock detection. Our dyno runs on a 99 9-3 at SOC indicated T5Boost4 was running well on the rich side during the pulls.
