If you want only a mild boost increase, you may just be able to raise your base boost and leave the pots untouched. I know lots of people will say this is a bad idea, saying "base boost is set low for a reason, you're engine will blow up". Well, it won't, if you set it to around 7-8 lbs. and always use high octane gas, and at least a 3 bar. this should put your max boost around 14-15 lbs (careful or you'll hit the fuel cut) and you will taper to around 11. This is just my experience with two different SPG's with stock APC's.
Other things you could do to increase power with stock boost levels are using a 60 trim compressor from an old 300zx turbo (assuming your car still uses Garrett turbo), water injection, exhaust, and timing mods to give it a little more power on the low end. If you're interested in preserving your tranny, you want more power up top, and not just lots of midrange. Good luck, and if someone else answers your post, you might want to listen to them (I'll bet they know more, haha).
