Oh sorry, I meant to answer that in the first post. To adjust base boost, first you must check it. To do that, unplug the wires at the APC solenoid which lives above the radiator. This will render the APC system inoperable, and the boost level you see is the base boost. If it's set at say, 5 psi, you should raise it by 2-3 psi.
This is easy. Just wiat until the car is cooled down and reach under the turbo. you'll feel the wastegate arm, which is attached to the wasteaget by a c-clip. Pop this off, unhook the arm to the wastegate and turn it a few turns clockwise to shorten the arm (about 1 turn=.5 psi). Then hook the arm back to the wastegate actuator and you're set. I my hungover ramblings don't make sense, try looking at a Bentley manual.
