24s prob rated at a higher FP Posted by JAK [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: C900/1985 and steady 15psi?, lms, Tue, 7 Oct 2003 16:11:31 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
like 3bar or 2.7bar if ford motorsports anyway if there rated at a higher fuel pressure & you are running a 2.5barfpr you probably arent getting much if any more fuel the stock 21s rated at 2.5bar are 23s at 3bar so you would be doing the oposite sorry to beat that one to death but run a 3barfpr to get the pressure up so you can take advantage of those #24s later add a RRFPF & you will be stoked
you need to do the retard stop mod in the distributor Ill bet you money if you kick your initial timing back rite now to like 13 or 12BTDC & add the 3barfpr you will get more lag but hold steady boost aside from the programmed boost taper
so pull your vacum advance unit out bend the peg away from the step in the arm to twice the OE gap put it back in & set the timing to 19ish BTDC this will help you will get about normal spool up & hold boost better because your timing will be a lil more retarded (like me) under boost reducing pre ignition
so to begin with fuel & timing will help I PROMISE :-)
you can email me by clicking on my name above & Ill be happy to help further in whatever way I can
take care
