Chad,

I found that with the H&R studs screwed in tightly, they didn't all stick
out of the hub perfectly perpendicular. And the 14mm stud was a very
close fit in the wheel holes to start with. So the slight misalignment
caused the wheel to bind up and not fit. At first I just pounded the wheel on -
that caused the studs to shave off a little bit of aluminum. Then I got smart
and loosened the studs slightly, slipped the wheel on, then tighten the studs
and applied the lug nuts.

Regarding the nuts - I got lug nuts for $1.19 each ($20 total) at the local Autozone,
but they had a huge 22mm hex! I had to buy a 12pt 22mm deep Craftsman socket
to fit, and it *barely* fits (outside diameter to wheel is slip-fit). Anyone else
considering this may want to go for a stud kit with M14 on the hub side and M12
on the wheel side, especially if you have “tuner” style wheels or Focus wheels
with small 12mm bolt holes.

Works great now, except that I could have used the 40mm stud kit instead
of the 50mm kit - there is a lot sticking out past the nuts. For reference the H&R
studs were $2.50 each ($40 total) and I ordered them from a local H&R distributor.
