actually a dyno run is not that hard on them, the load is steady and you get a good long pull to check it out, much longer and smoother than if on the street, no shifting, no torque multiplying to the pinion etc. tire spinning is much worse because a wheel hop will shockload the LIIVING S* out of it. you also will want to view your exact a/f curve under power. that is a must. a 5th gear run will remove one gear lash so the force will be only on the pinion and read a few % higher. start with the boost at 12 or so, see what it does. bump the boost and try again. a dyno run is the real deal for finding igntion problems or difficult zones.
