I tend to go the friction route........ with higher clamping force especialy with a PP that dosent re locate the fulcrum to lighten pedal effort you are stressing the thrust bearings in the engine I dont know if the 2.3 has a better thrust bearing but the 2.0 has only a 180* one which will get werked with excessive pedal pressure not to mention the stress on the pedal assy & hydraulic system
I use an agressive disk with kevlar on the FW side & bronse ceramic on the PP side & a stock borg beck PP (85 SPG) & it will not slip!
the compromize is mabey a lil shudder which can easily be goten around once you learn to use it rite
but if one were to use the stronger PP Id still use upgraded friction I had the oposite problem recently I used a very agressive disk & thought I can use this sachs PP I have laying around it will hold :-( well it dident & I had to redo it & use the stronger OE PP I can do a 900 clutch in less than 1.5 hours easy so it wasent that bad but in a 9K or newgen its a lil harder & Id rather have a lil overkill than to have insuficient grip
thats my 2 cents
