for the 85 box & had done many changes inside mine but I get boost taper less in colder weather
one thing I did was to use a switch to bypass the pressure transducer & set my base boost at 10 LBS with a helper spring when you open the circuit (I believe) to the transducer the APC holds boost as high as it can basicaly wont open the WG till past 4Krpm so what controlls your boost is the WG spring pressure against the exhaust back pressure overcoming it I have gotten audible ping from my car doing this though so one could easily kill an engine so be careful
I cant for the life of me find those instructionson the 85 box but I stil get between 3 & 5 lbs taper depending on circumstances
the other thing to do is run a 18 LB WG actuator
