I tried to search for the info I need, honest, and as much as I'd love to read 215 pages of posts to this board, I simply don't have the that much vacation time saved up. I'll try and make this brief, since it's probably stuff everybody else knows already.
I recently bought my first Saab. It's a '94 9000, 5 speed, turbo motor, 110k, and a blown head gasket. I'm pulling the head. Anything the performance minded owner might want to do while the head is off? Cam swaps? Degreeing the cams? Head work? Intake or exhaust manifold replacement? I'm not ready to drop a couple grand on the ECUs or heads that I've seen on a couple sites, but I'm guessing there are a few simple things that everybody should start with. Remember, I'm new to Saabs.
Also, where does the Aero model get it's extra h.p.? ECU? Turbo? Exhaust? AFM? Any of this stuff swap onto the non-Aero? Any (and I mean ANY) suggestions on performance upgrades are welcome. I'm at the very beginning of my learning curve.
