You had a recent post concerning injector sizes. I have a 91 9K that, while it has a smaller T25 than your mitsu, it has high initial boost levels. I had OEM 34lb injectors that I changed out to 40lb Accell units and it works great. Stuff I have read says you can increase injectors by 10% and be ok with software. While 40 is more than a 10% increase, the cc/min levels listed for these injectors are real close to an 11% increase, and for my car has been fine. Also the more primitive APC/DI system is batch fired as opposed to sequential in your car, the injectors fire twice as often. Reading your posts, I am gonna guess this is not the car you do errands with, and any idle probs will be unnoticed. Once off idle the O2 and MAP systems will compensate ok. You can always change the injectors and just see what happens.
Ever consider this:
