Why would they use that for an analog for torque when they have a perfectly good MAF reading to go by? It has first order imunity to temperature and baro pressure.
Using ionization current makes the result subject to the weather, spark gap, plug temperature, electrode rounding and fuel properties. Thats a lot of uncontrolled variables!
Why does a JR filter with a 9-5 Aero make so much more torque than with a new stock paper element? In cylnder sensing would kill that would it not?
