You need a restrictor with an ID diameter of approximately 1/16". I verified this by calling VDO's tech support #. I bought a "Plastruct" brand plastic rod with an outside diameter of 1/8" at my local hobby shop. Next, I cut a 1/4" piece from it, and bored a hole through it with a red-hot sewing needle( you could use a really small drill bit.) Then I stuck this into the silicone hose right at the gauge, and when I put the hose on the gauge the restictor just slid in. The rattle is gone, and the needle doesn't bounce at idle. Hope this helps..
